Tom van Gessel heads up new strategic partnership development for Google Channel Sales in the Netherlands & Belgium. His current focus, through Google partnerships, is to educate and empower small & medium sized businesses adapt to digitised consumer trends. Tom’s career is grounded in financial analysis through his New York based consulting and real estate/hotel finance roles. Following his travel passion, he made a calculated career shift to online travel to launch and grow Expedia’s Asia Pacific footprint across all travel products. In 2011, Tom joined Google Australia as it offered an opportunity to understand the digital consumer and their expectations in a perpetually evolving landscape. He has recently relocated to Amsterdam to help Benelux companies digitize their value proposition and also to discover his Dutch roots. Tom has a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
