Peter Buxton and Jesper Simonsen launched the series of conferences and workshops in 2003 under the original name of Yellow Pages TODAY! They identified a need within the sector for a regular programme of high quality events which would provide the opportunity for an exchange of experiences and ideas amongst those who operate in this market.
The concept was very clearly defined from the first conference. The confirmation that this concept is valuable is proven by the high attendance at each event. In 2011 to reflect the major changes which had taken place within the Yellow Pages sector, Peter and Jesper changed the brand name to Yellow Search TODAY!
With the objective to broaden the target audience to include all those who provide print, online and digital services to the small business market, the programme and speaker list were also broadened. The brand Yellow Search TODAY! has successfully developed to become well-known and highly-respected worldwide as a leading provider of high-quality conferences and workshops within the local search sector.

Peter Buxton is a British national working and living in Starnberg in Germany. Peter spent 25 years with the ITT Corporation, the latter 15 years in senior executive positions within ITT World Directories. During this time Peter operated in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Germany and regularly took assignments in other international markets. In 1996 Peter left ITT and founded his own independent consultancy business, Buxton Independent Consulting, offering his extensive international experience of the directory sector to the publishers of Europe. A graduate in Business Studies, Peter has significant operational experience in Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, General Management and Business Development.
Buxton Independent Consulting was founded in 1996 by Peter Buxton who saw the opportunity to make his substantial directory experience available to the directory publishers of Europe. The customer base has considerably broadened in recent years to include not only Yellow Pages providers, but also search engines, social media networks, SEO / SEM providers, website-designers and video producers. The

Consultant, JS Consulting ApS
Jesper Simonsen entered the directory sector in 1996 with Telenor Media AS, now Eniro Norway. Until 2002 he held the position as Vice President International responsible for Telenor Media‘s international expansion and was also operationally responsible for the operations in Northern and Eastern Europe.
In the period 2010 – 2014 Jesper was Senior Vice President in Heise Medien Gruppe, a leading German directory and magazine publisher, being responsible for the Eastern Europe directory operations in Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus.
Since 2002 Jesper has been a partner in JS Consulting ApS. As an independent consultant he is offering his key competences within international operations, strategy incl. implementation, sales, media change processes and Mergers and Acquisitions to major publishers and local search companies in Europe.
Before joining Telenor Media Jesper had international, executive positions in the TV Media business and before that
in the Computer Services industry. Jesper holds a M.Sc. from the Technical University of Copenhagen.
